VPNDream
Client Setup Guide
Get your subscription from the dashboard. Import it on your device, then check that it works for the services you use.
Interface labels may vary between platforms and client versions. This guide uses terms such as “subscription,” “configuration,” and “add via link” to describe the relevant options; follow the labels shown in your current client and user dashboard. Set up your account and plan first, then import your subscription. There's no need to look for an installer in advance.
Create an account. Save your login details.
First, open the VPNDream user dashboard and follow the prompts to enter a username and password. No email address is required to create an account. Your username is used to sign in and find your account, while your password protects your subscription and orders. Before submitting, check your input method, capitalization, and spaces to avoid saving unintended characters.
Once you're done, save your username and password in a trusted password manager. If the account overview is already open, continue to plan selection. If you still see the sign-in page, use the details you just saved to sign in. The user dashboard is separate from the informational page where this guide appears; manage your account, orders, downloads, and subscription in the dashboard.
If your username is unavailable, adjust it according to the message on the page and try again. If you already have an account, use the persistent “Sign in” link in the header instead of creating another one. If you have trouble signing in, make sure you're using the same username. Avoid switching between accounts, or you may not see the associated plan and orders.
Start FreeChoose a plan. Check the billing terms.
After signing in, open the plans section of the dashboard and decide between a monthly plan and a data package. Monthly plans suit regular use, with data resetting monthly on the activation date. Data packages suit more occasional use: they last until used and never expire. Compare the data allowance and billing terms as well as the price before proceeding to checkout.
Monthly plans: ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data packages: ¥158 for 300GB, ¥358 for 1000GB, and ¥658 for 3000GB. Choose based on how often you expect to use the service. For a full comparison, visit the plan pricing page. This guide doesn't cover how to choose based on server locations or data usage.
At checkout, verify the selected plan, amount, and payment method. VPNDream supports Alipay, WeChat Pay, and USDT. Follow the payment steps shown in the dashboard. After paying, return to the dashboard to check your order and account status. If the payment hasn't appeared yet, check the original order before creating another one.
Make sure the plan appears in your account before moving on to get your subscription. VPNDream offers a 60-day money-back guarantee; see the Terms of Service for details. If you upgrade a monthly plan partway through the billing period, the price difference is converted into remaining days. Check the result shown in the dashboard when changing plans; an upgrade doesn't start a new full billing period.
Choose this planGet your subscription. Copy it from the account overview.
Open the account overview in the user dashboard and check your account and plan status. Find the copy-link or client-import option in the subscription section. The subscription link lets your client retrieve server configurations. It's not the guide page URL or an order link. Copy the full subscription provided in the dashboard, not the URL in your browser's address bar.
If the dashboard offers an import button for your installed client, use it if possible. Your browser may ask whether to open the associated app; check that it's the right client before continuing. If the app doesn't open, make sure the client is installed, then copy the link and paste it into the client instead. There's no need to pay again or create another account.
When copying the link manually, keep it exactly as provided. Don't edit or remove any characters at the end, and don't add quotation marks. The example below shows a fake link for demonstration only; it won't connect to VPNDream. Get your actual subscription from the account overview after signing in.

Your subscription link is private account information. Don't post it in public forums or paste it into online conversion tools you don't trust. If you need to report an issue to support, describe the steps you took and the error message; hide the link in any screenshots. The client can usually keep using a saved link when updating the subscription. If the link in your account changes, replace it in the client instead of just refreshing the old configuration.
Open the account overviewImport into a client. Follow the steps for your platform.
Next, open the downloads section in the dashboard and choose the VPNDream client for your device. Clients for Windows, macOS, Android, and Linux are available after signing in. Sign in to get your subscription and check your plan status before importing it. An active plan is required to access the iOS download. Follow the installation instructions and import options currently listed in the downloads section.
Use a desktop proxy client on desktop devices and a system VPN client on mobile devices. For your first setup, use the VPNDream client provided in the dashboard. Don't mix instructions for different apps. If another proxy connection is already running on your device, pause it before importing and testing this configuration so you can tell which one is active.
Get the clientWindows: Add a subscription or configuration
In the downloads section, select Windows, then install and launch the desktop client as instructed. Open the “Subscription” or “Configuration” section in the sidebar or settings, and look for an option to add via link. Paste in the full subscription you copied earlier. Enter a name you'll recognize, save it, then update or refresh the subscription to load the server list.
Once the server list appears, return to the client's home screen to prepare to connect. If you saved a name but no servers appear, check that the subscription was updated and that you pasted the complete link. On Windows, the connection switch and system proxy switch may be separate. Importing successfully doesn't necessarily route browser traffic through the client; check the relevant settings during the connection test below.
macOS: Install the client, then add a remote configuration
In the downloads section, choose the client for macOS, install it, and open the app. In configuration or subscription management, choose the option to import from a remote link, then paste and save your subscription. If macOS asks you to allow a network component or connection permission, verify the app name and source before granting access. The prompt may appear in a different place depending on your macOS version.
After the subscription updates, check that the client displays servers you can select. Some clients keep running in the menu bar after you close the main window; reopen the status screen from the menu bar rather than running the installer again. If you want to use the dashboard's one-click import, launch the client once before returning to the browser and selecting the import option.
Android: Add a subscription by link
In the dashboard's downloads section, choose Android and follow the installation instructions. Open the client, go to “Configuration” or “Subscription,” and choose the option to add via link. Paste the full address and save it. Return to the configuration list, update the subscription, confirm the new configuration is selected, and then open the server list.
The first time you connect, Android may show a VPN connection request. Check the app name and allow the request, then return to the client to check its status. If the connection drops when you switch to another app, check the system's background restrictions for the client, then look up troubleshooting steps in the help center. Don't repeatedly delete the subscription to address background restrictions.
iOS: Download from the dashboard, then import
Make sure your account has an active plan, then open the iOS download section in the dashboard and follow the instructions to get the client from the App Store. After installing it, return to the dashboard and use the import option for that client if available. To import manually, find the option to add via link in the client's subscription or configuration section, then paste and save the subscription.
After updating the subscription, choose a server and start the connection. If iOS asks to add a VPN configuration, confirm that the request came from the client you're using, then grant permission as prompted. After granting permission, check the client's connection switch; the configuration appearing in system settings alone doesn't mean you're connected. If the download option isn't visible, check that your plan is active and that you're signed in to the right account.
For Linux, get the corresponding client from the dashboard's downloads section and follow the instructions for that version to install it and import your subscription. This guide doesn't provide commands that claim to work across versions, since package formats and system environments vary. For more on protocols, split tunneling, and client differences, see the buyer's guide. For your first setup, just check that the default configuration connects.
Check your connection. Test real-world access.
Make sure the subscription is up to date, select an available server, and enable the client connection. If the client offers rule-based and global modes, start with the default mode described in its instructions. On desktop, also check that the system proxy is enabled; on mobile, make sure the system allows the VPN connection. A “connecting” status is just the first step—test whether the service you need actually works.
Open a browser and visit the international website or app you want to use. Try loading a page, signing in to an existing account, or completing a routine action. Don't rely only on the client's test results: whether the page loads and requests complete successfully is the most relevant check for your situation. If your browser has a separate proxy setting or extension, rule out its effect on the test first.
If the connection fails, check your account and plan status, subscription update, selected server, and system proxy or VPN permissions, in that order. Change one setting at a time and reopen the target page after each change so you can identify the cause. You can then try another server for comparison. There's no need to reinstall the client right away if just one website isn't accessible.
If regular websites work but an AI tool or streaming service still reports an issue, check the platform's account status, regional policies, and the client's routing rules separately. A working server connection doesn't guarantee that a third-party service will allow access; check the response from that platform. For related guidance, see using ChatGPT with VPNDream or accessing streaming services.
Once the connection works, keep the configuration and update the subscription from the client as needed. VPNDream has no limit on the number of devices connected at the same time. You can repeat the platform-specific import steps on other devices, but you'll still need to check client permissions and the connection on each one. If the problem persists, use the Help Center to troubleshoot by account, connection, speed, or billing. To get help, open a support ticket in the dashboard and include your device platform, the error message, and the steps you've already tried.
Setup complete
Your plan is visible in the account, the client shows servers, the system connection is enabled, and the service you need works. Return to the user dashboard to check your remaining data, orders, or subscription.
